Logistics and Competitiveness

DTCI has led multiple studies related to logistics competitiveness for specific industries and/or regions. Examples include:

  • Alberta Petrochemical Study undertaken for the Government of Alberta to determine the potential for increased production of value-added petrochemicals. The project encompassed assessment of global markets, assembly of data and estimates of overall supply chain costs for Alberta producers and their international competitors to various destination markets, and analysis of operational and infrastructure options for improving industry competitiveness.
  • BC Forest Exports Study undertaken for the Government of British Columbia. The study focused on the end to end supply chains of BC forest producers, including transportation modes, customer needs, decision-makers and distribution channels within destination countries.
